Join San Francisco film aficionado and visionary Craig Baldwin(Tribulation 99: Alien Anomalies Under America;Sonic Outlaws;O No Coronado!;Spectres of the Spectrum) for a wild ride through his three-decade career in alternative film, stopping along the way for: dead media, arti-factuality, cinema povera, availabilism, ventriloquism, obsession, fetishism, Situationism, and micro-cinemas.
Craig Baldwin uses footage found on the fringes of popular consciousness to undermine and transform the traditional documentary, infusing it with the energy of high-speed montage and a provocative commentary that targets subjects from intellectual property rights and rampant consumerism to American imperialism, the military-industrial complex, and the origins of Scientology. He will screen clips from throughout his career, as well as never-before-seen out-takes and forgotten detritus from his basement cine-cave. Baldwin's most recent film,Mock Up on Mu(2008), had its New York City premiere at the 2008 New York Film Festival and will premiere in Europe soon at the Rotterdam International Film Festival.
